Check whether your model needs lubrication
Some decks arrive pre-lubricated and some maintenance intervals depend on use. Find the model name on the product label, open the matching product manual, and follow its maintenance section. Do not add oil simply because the belt looks dry from above.
Prepare the treadmill safely
- Stop the treadmill completely.
- Turn the power switch off and unplug the power cord.
- Let moving parts come to rest.
- Keep liquid away from the motor cover, power inlet, display, and floor.
Use only the lubricant specified in the manual
When the manual calls for belt lubrication, use treadmill-grade silicone lubricant of the specified type. Do not substitute cooking oil, penetrating oil, petroleum lubricant, or a general household spray. An unsuitable product can affect the belt, deck, traction, and internal components.
Apply a small, even amount
Lift only the belt edge as described in the manual. Apply the stated amount to the deck beneath the walking area rather than pouring it onto the top of the belt. More is not better: excess lubricant can migrate to the edges, floor, or electrical components.
Distribute and inspect
After reconnecting power, run the treadmill at the low speed specified in the manual with no one on the belt so the lubricant can spread. Stop immediately if you notice slipping, unusual noise, odor, leaking lubricant, or inconsistent movement.
When to contact support
Contact VitalWalk before continuing if the belt remains noisy or jerky, drifts repeatedly, feels excessively loose or tight, or if you are unsure whether your model requires lubrication. Include the model, order channel, order number, and a short video of the issue.
